Mafia’s protégé Gennaro and his family are forced to run away from Palermo, their Sicilian hometown, to neighboring Tropea, in Calabria, because his boss has ordered him to kill a man. Gennaro’s wife is ill with a rare disease and he falls back into criminal life to collect the money to treat her. But he is never been a killer. With his wife Lucia’s help, they reach Calabria where a friend has offered protection.
